Vision
For 20 years the Story name has been synonymous with delivering first class construction projects, providing us with an excellent footing upon which to grow the rest of our business. We recognise that our success lies in meeting, and often exceeding, our customers/clients expectations, which subsequently enhances our reputation, increases our customer base and generates repeat business. As a company, we continue to do this effectively and efficiently and we continue to excel. In order to prosper further Story Group recognise the need to be aware of the changing environment and to maintain, and expand, our reputation for providing a superior product. This awareness enables us to secure opportunities that would not otherwise be available and demonstrates our ability to deliver success.
Culture
The success of the Story Group is built upon hard work and the commitment of both its workforce and management team. An 'open door' approach, respect for fellow colleagues and clarity of purpose has delivered terrific success for the Group. Our values are simple: operate as a successful and innovative business, have the full commitment of the workforce and, in return, provide training, health, safety and career opportunities which far exceed the norm for the industry.

Story Group is a major employer and we recognise the importance of giving something back to the communities in which we live and work. We regularly provide financial support and assist with community and sports projects. We do not have a prescriptive sponsorship procedure and every approach is judged on its merits enabling us to sponsor a variety of events and clubs including Carlisle's Christmas lights, the Reiver statue (Carlisle) and Edward I statue (Burgh by Sands) and donations for outdoor play equipment for two local Primary Schools, a new tent for Carlisle Scouts and support for numerous rugby, hockey and football clubs.
